You might agree/disagree with him but he makes you think about things.
Today over at BikeSnob NYC is his breakdown of cyclocross and that horrible VeloNews article about what to bring to your local cyclocross race. When did Velonews become the People magazine for cyclists?
Here is the link the BSNYC article: http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/2010/10/spending-power-whos-1.html
If you dont read the Snob, you should. Dude is damn funny and finds the best posts via CraigsList each and everytime.
Happy reading!!
Horrible? Nonsense. It's a fine ad for many semi-bike-related products. what more would Velo-Snooze have to talk about?
ReplyDeleteI just know when I show up to race, I have my
ReplyDeletebackpack full of clothes, a bucket worth of lubes,
brushes and tubes and a spare pair of wheels
We used to carry all that stuff when we went to
mountain bike races
VeloNews sucks
Hey now...remember that VeloNews is located in Boulder and we all know they're soft. But bringing along your own coffee press and NOT bringing along Juan Valdez? Bringing along a stove and NOT your favorite gourmet chef? I think the Boulder-ites are getting tougher.
ReplyDeleteAll you bring to a 'cross race is beer. You can then trade the beer for food, entry fees, bikes, pleasurable company, and other types of beer.
