Bringing the beach to The 3 Lions

Who knew that we could have so many parties in one month around here?  With our first ever US Cyclocross National Championships viewing party at the Wynkoop just a week ago, people started asking what we could do for Worlds?  Well, you asked and we are now going to deliver.
We did some searching around for a bar that would be open for us at 630am on a Sunday.  Most just looked at us like we were smoking something funny.  But then a quick email to Jon Forget and the Bulldog Supporters Group, which I am a proud member of and we have our place.  Jon is the propieter of the British Bulldog, one of the best places to watch futbol in the city.  But he wanted to do something bigger and better for the crazies of the worlds game.  So he opened The 3 Lions in late spring last year.  This place is plush.  2 levels, tv's everywhere, football from around the world and beer.  Our kind of place for sure.

We will be showing the Mens World Championships live starting at 7am.  Yea, we know, it's damn early for a Sunday morning.  But we are going to have this on 2 big screen tvs, audio and happy hour specials. Root for Stybar, Nys, Page, J-Pow we dont care.  This is just another oppertunity to hang with folks that love cross just as much as we do.

See you there and bring your bucket and shovel.  The sand of Koksijde is going to make this one of the toughest races ever.

  1. Any chance ya'll are going to be able to TiVo the women's race and play it after the live men's? Just a thought :)

  2. FYI - I just called the Three Lions to confirm that they were showing the race and they did not know anything about it. In addition, they said that they are showing a huge soccer match that starts at 6:30 and are expecting big crowds for that.

    1. Anonymous.... don't know who your source is... but the 2nd floor has been reserved. But, thanks for the interest. Frankly, we did not know your Suburu would start that early in the morning and get past the Boulder County line in order to come watch the race.

    2. I'm not coming from Boulder nor anywhere even close. Anyway, thanks for the details...and the douchey response.

  3. Hello everyone,
Rich here from FMVC. I have been in contact with 3 Lions and we are good to go. Since we are using a computer and not their dish, that person didn't know the full details.

Drink specials, coffee, food and kid friendly place

See everyone at 7a for the race
