It is never to early to talk cross - this is one of those days

Today was the CX promoters meeting in Golden.  The room was too small for everyone, there was no internet but the meeting ended 90 minutes early.  You take what you can get.

FMVC is happy to announce that with our new shop sponsor, Alpha Bicycle Company, we will be co-hosting the 2011 CO CX Championships. Expect the FMVC crew, beer, heckles, Danny Flapjacks food and a course that will have you doing the wimper walk back to your car at the end of the race.  We are very excited to have this race outside the bubble.  We already have BIG PLANS for this one.

Everyone for the most part played nice.  Dates were easily handed out and without the ubiquitous horse trading that normally happens at these things.

Still to be worked out though is the schedule for races and how much time in between, how much time for course inspections and what races will get the coveted CX Cup designations.  One thing that was shot down was the 2 day race schedule.  It will still be there for States but not for any other races.

All and all, it was very productive and had meaning with lots of open dialogue.

If there is anything that you want to suggest to us about course design, please let us know.  Yea, we know that cross season is still 6 months out but we want to have this dialed in early.

So below is the schedule for the upcoming 2011 CO cyclocross season.  There are a few open dates and there might be a date change here and there but everyone walked out happy with what they got for a race date.
