Well, it's June and we are now only 90 days away from the start of cross season. Some are tuning up for the season by racing crits, mtb's or still drinking beers telling themselves that they will race their way into shape. Sounds good but that never works right?
But what we do know is this: The first 2 months of the cross schedule (Updated with more dates)
Every Wednesday in Sept and Oct is the Back to Basics cross races at the kiddie prison in Golden. Routine Leg Works and GMSports are the promotors. Get your mid week training in.
Sept 8th - COS either at the campus of CUCS or CSUCS. A new course that we dont know much about. It has to be better than the course down at Bear Creek park right? Rumor is if you race this race, you get one free entry into a Boulder Racing event. This was discussed at the promotors meeting back in Feb but has yet to be signed off by everyone
Sept 9th - open
Sept 15th - Cross kick-off TT. 1 lap to get a place for callups to be used the following day. Yea, it's in Brighton and yea, it's in the middle of no where but if you want a good starting spot you have to be there.
Sept 16th - Valmont - First of 2 races there. Should be hot, fast and miserable
Sept 22nd - Xilinx - Classic course
Sept 23rd - Queens of Cross at NAAC Arvada, where states were about 3 years ago
Sept 29th - Primalpalooza at NAAC. Hoping this gets moved to some other place. Who wants to race on the same course 2 weeks in a row?
Sept 30th - Adrenaline Cross in Highlands Ranch. This was a great course in the snow so hopefully it will be good when dry. Lot's of grass
All Sept races are Bronze level races per Colorado Cross Cup rules. There are still points available for upgrades and such.
Oct 6th - Frisco. They are doing one day only this year. Enjoy a day on a great course in the mountains
Oct 7th - Buena Vista. Doug Robison has put together a great course at the river park.
These 2 races are both Silver level races.
Oct 13/14th is the USGP in Fort Collins. Same as always, disco flyover, 2 sided pits. One license and full race times this year. $35 bucks a race though. Highly doubt this will be a points race.
Oct 20th - Interlocken. Get the file treads ready
Oct 21st - This should be the Monarch weekend. That was last years schedule, so I dont see it changing much. I would suspect that these might be the first 2 Gold races of the year.

Oct 27th/28th will be the Boulder Weekend. One race at Valmont and would assume one at the Boulder Res. This will probably be a points race for the regular classes but not the Open races.
Nov 10th - CycloX Siena Reservoir in Broomfield. Heard good things about this one last year.
Nov 17th - Westminister City Park. Death by stairs right?
Nov 24th - Big Ring CX down in Parker. Great course, tough riding, well worth the drive down
Dec 1st - LouisvilleCX - get ready for the bowl. At this late of a date, get ready for the snow again
Dec 8th - New venue in Superior

"kiddie prison" was the funniest thing I read all night. Thank you for that.
